IPOH: PKR vice president Nurul Izzah Anwar will work towards fulfilling her promise to bring British rock group Radiohead to Malaysia for a charity concert.

"If they (Radiohead) agree with my proposal for a charity concert, I will bring them here.

"So (media) don't report in detail yet, if the letter is not issued, Radiohead declines, who will get blamed...Malaysian media (will be blamed)," she said.

Nurul Izzah said this when met by reporters after attending the 5th World Conference on Islamic Thought and Civilization (WCIT 2018) at the Aman Central Convention Centre, here, today.

Nurul Izzah, a fan of Radiohead, promised to have the group hold its first concert in the Klang Valley if Pakatan Harapan (PH) won the general election.

Previously, the Permatang Pauh MP affirmed her commitment to bring the group here on her Twitter account where she had said, "A promise is a promise".

Radiohead comprises Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O'Brien and Philip Selway and was formed in 1985.

Among their hit songs are Creep, No Surprises, Karma Police, Exit Music, High and Dry and My Iron Lung. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
