Ride for under RM1: Uber will extend the deal if you share its Facebook post. — Reuters




PETALING JAYA: Starting today Uber will only be charging 99sen flat fare for all trips in the Klang Valley that’s under 4km.

The offer, which will run for two weeks (Feb 13 to 26), doesn’t require a promo code and is valid even during peak hours but only for UberX rides.

However, during unexpected heavy or standstill traffic, the fare will revert to the usual “time + distance” calculation.


Also, if you are paying cash, the fare will be rounded up to RM1.

There are also other caveats – the offer is not valid for trips between KLIA and KLIA2, scheduled rides and if you make multiple stops.


Uber is also offering to extend the deal if users share its post on its Facebook page. If the post gets 1,000 shares, the deal will be extended by a week and if it gets 2,000 shares, it will be extended by two weeks.
