Actress' father slashed in attempted robbery at his home
KUALA LUMPUR: The father of popular actress Emma Maembong (pic) was slashed in a robbery attempt at his house in Jalan Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, here on Thursday.
Ismail Embong, 68, was reported to be alone when a man approached him with a parang demanding for money and valuables at about 4pm.
Ismail refused to give him the money and valuables and a scuffle broke out and Ismail was slashed in the hand and on the head. He shouted and ran to a neighbour’s house as the assailant fled.
The neighbour took Ismail to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
City CID chief SAC Rusdi Mohd Isa confirmed the incident.
