SAIFUL BAHARI ABDULLAH
Two men staying at a budget hotel after arriving from Kuching were robbed by a gang of robbers after being lured by a young woman under the pretext of offering sexual services on Saturday.

Sibu district police chief ACP Saiful Bahari Abdullah said in the 10.30pm incident, one of the victims opened their hotel room door when he heard someone knocking and saw a woman standing outside, offering sexual services.

He said shortly after the woman entered the room, two other men suddenly stormed in and forced the victims, both aged 28, to hand over their cash and valuables.

“The victims were punched with a knuckle duster when they refused to hand over their valuables causing them to suffer head injuries. The three suspects fled with RM300 in cash and two mobile phones together with two other accomplices who were waiting at the entrance of the hotel,” he said in a statement.

Saiful Bahari said police detained six individuals, including a woman, at a rented house in the city on the same night to assist investigations. He said police also seized two mobile phones and a knuckle duster.
