Police arrest man over Setapak shooting

KUALA LUMPUR: A man has been arrested to assist investigation into the shooting to death of a man at Jalan Taman Ibu Kota/Jalan Genting Klang traffic junction, Setapak, on July 27.
Kuala Lumpur Police CID chief SAC Rusdi Mohd Isa said the 34-year-old man, who has criminal record of causing hurt and causing death, was arrested in Sentul, at 1am today.
“The local man has been remanded for seven days until Tuesday to assist investigation and to trace the other suspects,” he told a press conference, here today.
V Kandasamy,43, died in a hail of bullets after being hit by 10 shots in the head, body and leg, by two people who were riding pillion on two motorcycles.
Police confirmed that the shooting at 3.35pm on Juy 27 involved secret societies. --BERNAMA
