KUALA LUMPUR: A man and woman high on drugs have been arrested for attempting to trespass into Bukit Aman.
Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Zainol Samah said the incident occurred at around 10pm on Tuesday.
Police sentry guards on duty at Bukit Aman’s Gate A stopped both suspects, who were in a red Honda CR-Z, after they tried to enter the vicinity by claiming the man was a police personnel.
“Initial checks by the guard revealed that the man was not a policeman. They detained both suspects and further checks revealed the man was carrying seven pieces of firecrackers (mercun bola) in his bag,” he said when contacted Wednesday.
He said both suspects in their 30s were arrested after urine tests conducted on them tested positive for drugs.
ACP Zainol said the suspects were not linked to terrorism activities.
