Women dump smelly clothes at orphanage
WHEN a group of children at an orphanage in Bukit Mertajam followed some women to their car, they thought they were getting a donation of new clothes.
However, when the children and some volunteers opened up the boxes, they found smelly old clothes, reported Nanyang Siang Pau, adding that some even had mould on them.
The 40 pieces of clothing even included some dirty underwear.
Datuk Khaw Choy Ping, who is in charge of the Chi Yun Orphanage, said three women donated the clothes together with RM100 on Thursday.
“Most of the clothes are for adults,” said Khaw, urging the public to only donate goods that could be used by the orphans.
