Prosecution withdraws charge against taxi driver who rammed car against security guard

 
KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court here Thursday allowed an application by the Attorney-General's Chambers to withdraw a charge for attempted murder against a taxi driver who rammed his car into a security guard at the main gate of a hospital last October.
Sessions Court judge Azman Mustapha made the decision following an application by deputy public prosecutor Sharifah Zulia Balqish Syed Agil to withdraw the charge against T. Ganesan, 44, following the demise of the accused.
Ganesan was charged with ramming a Proton Saga car into Mohd Azahari Yusoff, 41, at the main gate of the Tuanku Mizan Armed Forces Hospital (HATTM) in Wangsa Maju here at 8.43am last Oct 12.
The charge, under Section 307 of the Penal Code, carries an imprisonment for up to 20 years, if found guilty. - Bernama
