KUALA LUMPUR: A flaming red Ferrari caused a standstill along Jalan Rakyat on Wednesday evening during rush hour.
Crowds of motorists parked their cars along the road to witness a red Ferrari being engulfed by flames.
Clouds of smoke billowed from the burning sports car before firefighters arrived at the scene.
They managed to put out the fire although the car was burned to its bare bones.
The cause of the fire is unknown and it is unsure if the driver or any passengers were injured.
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department said the department was alerted at about 6pm about the incident.
He said that when the team arrived at 6.17pm, the sports car was already completely destroyed by the fire, adding that there were no casualties.
