Injured horse draws netizens' sympathy
A Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) horse’s leg was stuck in a drain cover at the Unit Berkuda PDRM at Precinct 15, Putrajaya on Monday.
Responding to the incident was the Putrajaya Fire and Rescue Department, who dispatched eight staff to help with the rescue operation.

Putrajaya Fire and Rescue Department head Muhamad Hafidz Yaacob said that he was uncertain how the horse ended up in that situation.
He said that staff arrived at the scene at 3.12pm and used various cutters to free the horse, which was then treated by a veterinarian at the scene.

The incident, which was shared on the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia’s (JBPM) Facebook page, received 3,587 ‘Likes’ and 114 shares within three hours of being posted.
Comments on JBPM’s Facebook page called for safer drain covers to be installed while other netizens congratulated the firemen’s efforts and hope for the horse’s speedy recovery.
