Body of sole Malaysian on QZ8501 identified

Sii Chung Huei was the only Malaysian in the ill-fated AirAsia flight that crashed in the Java Sea last December 28.
Malaysian ambassador to Indonesia, Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim told Bernama that the body was found a few days ago but its identity was only confirmed today after a DNA test was done.
The body was sent to Bhayangkara Hospital in Surabaya after it was recovered by the Indonesian search team.
"The embassy will arrange for Sii's remains to be handed over to his family members tomorrow in Surabaya before the Royal Malaysian Air Force flies it back to Sarawak on Wednesday," Zahrain said to Bernama.
Zahrain will also meet up with Sii's family members who had been in Surabaya. An embassy officer will accompany Sii's remains back to Sarawak.
Sii, 56, is a businessman from Kuching but based in Jakarta.
There were 162 passengers, so far only 100 bodies have been recovered by Indonesia's National Search and Rescue body. – February 9, 2015.
