Wellington, Oct 09 (ANI): An official report mapping the final hours of missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has revealed that the plane went into a shallow left turn at 35,000 feet above the Indian Ocean before rapidly spiraling down into the sea after its fuel ran out.
The Australian Transportation Safety Board (ATSB), which is coordinating the search operation to locate the wreckage of the missing flight in the Indian Ocean, concluded that the right-hand engine of the Boeing 777 aircraft was likely to have cut out first after its fuel ran out and the left engine stopped seconds later, reported Stuff.co.nz.
The report is the first official account of the last minutes of the aircraft and is based on flight simulations that recreated its final moments.
Although, investigators have refused to speculate the fate of the missing plane but the latest report was based on the assumption that the flight flew on autopilot hours before it ran out of fuel and went down into the ocean.
Flight MH370 has been missing since the early hours of March 8, when it left Kuala Lumpur for Beijing with 239 passengers and crew on board. (ANI)
