BANGI: The Kajang by-election will see a straight fight between Barisan Nasional candidate Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun and PKR candidate Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
This was announced by Election Commission returning officer Datuk Hasan Nawawi Abdul Rahman, about an hour after the two leaders filed their nomination papers.
"EC has received nomination papers from two candidates, they are Chew Mei Fun on 9.07am and Wan Azizah at 9.10am. Nominations were closed at 10am.
"It is now confirmed that these are the candidates for N25 Kajang. The early voting will take place on March 19 and the normal voting will be on March 23," he said.
