Once again, The 2014 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix is here.
Engines will be roaring and cars will be zooming around at breakneck speeds at the Sepang International Circuit until tomorrow.
But what would the race be without the alluring Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix grid girls?
A total of 58 grid girls will get to walk alongside some of the biggest names in F1 racing.
StarMetro ran profiles on 10 of the 2014 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix grid girls over the past two weeks, and all of them were enthusiastic about the opportunity to take part. Here again are the lucky 10.

Let’s meet, Noraslinda Ali, one of the 2014 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix grid girls.
"My first experience as a grid girl last year was very memorable as I got to hold the umbrella for racers Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton,” said Linda.
Linda admits that some of the challenges she faced last year include the hot weather and constant risk of dehydration, as there have been grid girls who have collapsed while on the job in previous years.
“Last year, I was also tasked with holding a large Malaysian flag. It was quite heavy and the winds were pretty strong, so I was afraid that I might drop it,” said Linda.
But being the optimist that she is, she dutifully carried out her task with a smile on her face.

Hailing from Selayang, Denise Tai is a proud accounting graduate who is excited to join the Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix for the first time.
“Being a grid girl will no doubt be challenging, as it is a job that requires us to live together for at least two nights in preparation for the event,” said Denise when asked about the challenges she expected to face.
However, the 24-year-old has made it a point to make friends with the other grid girls and she is looking forward to working with them.
“Of course, the hot sun is one of the main difficulties of the job too, but I don’t think that it will be a big problem because all of us are excited about the Formula 1 Grand Prix,” she added.

True love knows no bounds.
Vina Farhana is a model who helps out with her fiance's unusual business...the business of funeral rites.
She's the mortuary administrative officer. "I just handle the documentation of dead people. I don't like looking at dead bodies. I can't even handle horror movies. I am doing it because it's my fiance's business," she said.
Vina is more excited to talk about her second year as an F1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix grid girl and she can’t wait to get back to the grid.
“I’m very proud to be one of the 58 girls chosen this year,” said the 18-year-old.
“We are the luckiest as we get to be so close to the drivers and the race itself,” she said.

Noor Izah Baharudin is one hardworking woman.
Aside from modeling, the 26-year-old from Shah Alam runs her own online clothing business and is also a Public Mutual consultant.
The Business Administration graduate who majored in Finance said that having three jobs does not take a toll on her as her time is flexible.
She describes herself as an independent person. “I don’t depend on my parents for money and I have recently purchased a car on my own,” she said.
She is excited to be involved as a Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix Grid Girls as she loves the fast cars and the hot guys
"My favourite driver is Lewis Hamilton. If I meet him I would ask him for a picture and kiss on the cheek," she said.

Sharmini Devi, 25 enjoys being part of the F1 as it allows her to meet new friends and see the drivers up close, she said.
The Kajang-born beauty said her favourite driver is Michael Schumacher and is saddened by the news of his accident. Still, she is hoping for the best.
Sharmini decided to try out for the F1 grid girl position after much coaxing from her friends. “This was four years back and my friends felt that I had the potential and encouraged me to try,” she said.
To be a F1 Petronas Grand Prix grid girl, she said one has to be tall, have a nice figure and have a sweet smile.

Han Li, a Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix Grid Girl is a 19-year-old A-Level student and a part-time model.
Her past work includes appearing in advertisements and working in other motor shows. But she knows no other race comes close to the F1.
"Amazing drivers, cars going at 300 miles per hour. What is not to love?" she said.
“When I was younger my dad and brother would go for the races but I didn’t get to go with them. So here is my chance to experience the sights and sounds at the grid,” she said.
She added that she loves the noise and the adrenaline during the race.

Hilyah Amirah, 26, is an accounting graduate who been modeling for two years now and has appeared in a number of magazines.
Speaking about the F1, she said this will be her third year as a Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix Grid Girl.
“I enjoy this event as it’s a good platform to gain new contacts,” she said.
When not modeling and being involved with the F1, she can be seen acting in Malay dramas. Hilyah said she enjoys acting as it allows her to be a different person.

Penangite Shangkharee Nadarajan,24 is both a part-time model and a medical student.
A former Miss Universe Malaysia 2014 contestant, she decided to join the 2014 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix as a grid girl as she had heard many good things about the event.
“As the days go by, I’m learning more and more about it,” she said.
She is also an adrenaline junkie. “I’ve done bungy jumping and I would like to try skydiving next,” she said.

This year will be model Weena Marcus' first year as a 2014 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix grid girl.
“Every year when I want to take part in this event, I’m always not around. So, this time I made it a point to be part of it,” she said.
