"TANDA PUTRA" MOVIE WILL NOT BE SCREENED IN PENANG!

Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) will not screen the Tanda Putera movie in Penang, heeding to a request from the local council here.

In a reply to an email by the New Straits Times, GSC cited a circular sent to them yesterday by the Penang Island Municipal Council, who had requested them not to play the movie.

"In compliance with Penang State Government’s directive (as per letter by Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang dated August 28, 2013), GSC will not be screening the movie “Tanda Putera” in its cinemas in Penang," it said.

GSC said customers who had purchased the tickets online can get their refunds from the respective cinemas from 5pm today.
