Two of the most powerful World Leaders will visit Malaysia in October. United Stated President Barack Obama is expected to visit Malaysia on October 11, 2013.
BEIJING: Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Malaysia from Oct 4-6, signalling the close relationship between the two countries.
Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman said Xi would be in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 4 and 5 and will visit Sabah on Oct 5 and 6.
He told Malaysian reporters about the visit after a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi here Wednesday.
On the call for shortening the process of issuing the Good Conduct Certificate (GCC) by his ministry, Anifah said it was always prompt in issuing the certificate.
The certificate is required by Malaysians seeking employment in China to apply for work visas.
Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (Maycham) has expressed concern that the processing took up to two months, resulting in applicants losing the chance to be employed.
“We will get the clearance from the police. Normally it does not take much time,” he said.
China last month introduced a new rule that requires foreigners to present a certificate of good conduct in order to obtain a work visa.Source- TheStar
