SINGAPORE: Mufti of Singapore Dr Nazirudin Mohd Nasir announced that Muslims in Singapore will celebrate Aidilfitri on Monday (March 31).
He made the announcement in a video clip uploaded on the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) social media on Sunday.
"According to the hisab count, based on the count of imkanur rukyah agreed by MABIMS member countries (Ministers of Religious Affairs of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore), the moon of Syawal was above the horizon of Singapore for 48 minutes after sunset this afternoon. "Therefore, I am pleased to declare that the beginning of the month of Syawal in the year 1446H falls tomorrow, Monday equivalent to March 31, 2025," he said.
He also hoped that Muslims would be blessed with blessings and victory as a result of all the acts of worship and charity that they had worked on during the last Ramadan.
