Hamas claims '200 to 250' Israeli hostages are being held in Gaza

GAZA: A spokesman for the military wing of Hamas claimed that there were "around 200 to 250" Israeli prisoners held in Gaza, according to the Reuters news agency .
According to Hamas in a recorded video, they have "about 200" prisoners, while others are being held by "other armed groups."
The group claimed that the prisoners were managed according to humanitarian ethics and laws.
Hamas said they have prisoners "from other nations who are guests" and they will "release them when the situation permits."
The BBC news portal , however, has yet to obtain any confirmation of this claim.
Hamas previously claimed it had hidden prisoners in "safe havens and tunnels" inside Gaza, but threatened to kill them if the homes of Palestinian civilians were attacked by Israel without warning. - Agency
