Singapore reported 214 new Covid-19 cases over the last 24 hours. 


SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 214 new Covid-19 cases over the last 24 hours, bringing the tally of infections in the republic to 40,818.

Only three of the new cases are community transmissions, while the remainder are foreign workers residing at dormitories, said the city state's Ministry of Health (MOH).

In full data released late yesterday, Singapore classified 1,796 cases as community transmissions, 581 as imported, and 38,227 as foreign workers at dorms.

As of noon on Sunday, 29,589 have fully recovered and were discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

A total of 238 cases are still in hospital, with two in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

The ministry said 10,751 who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for Covid-19, are isolated and cared for at community facilities.

Thus far, 26 people have died from complications due to the coronavirus.
