GEORGE TOWN: Three pistols along with illegal drugs worth RM1.5mil have been seized from an apartment unit and a car in Bukit Dumbar here during a two-day operation.
Penang deputy police chief Comm Datuk Roslee Chik said a 54-year-old man and his 43-year-old wife were also detained following the raid carried out between 11.20pm on Tuesday to 2.30pm Wednesday (Oct 3).
"Some of the drugs were found stashed inside a secret compartment under a table in the apartment.
"The remaining drugs and three pistols were found inside a car parked nearby.
The suspects have been remanded till next week under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
