Woman Slashed Thrice In Rawang By Snatch Thieves On Motorcycle While Paying For Parking




It appears that safety is becoming a growing concern for us Malaysians and as a previous article byMalaysian Digest highlighted, there are 7 to 8 police reports daily on snatch thefts in Kuala Lumpur alone.

Yesterday, Facebook user Amy Ng shared her traumatic experience of being a victim of snatch theft which left her with an aching token to remember.

Following a movie date with her husband at AEON Rawang, Amy described her attack carried out by two random motorcyclists.

While her husband went off to fetch their car, they attempted to snatch her handbag from her arm – while she was paying for the parking ticket.

“I had my handbag on one of my arms when suddenly a motorbike came from behind and tried to snatch my handbag,” Amy wrote on the social networking site.

“There were two men on the bike – one driving, while the other tried to snatch my bag,” she explained, adding her persistency to refuse to let go of her bag resulted to her being hit in the face.

Her refusal soon turned into a painful nightmare when one of the men took out a knife, using it to slash her arm, three times.

“My husband who arrived after grabbing the car saw the horrible scene unfolding in front of his eyes, and immediately got down the car to stop the men,” Amy penned.

As soon as the husband rushed to his wife’s aid, the two men fled the scene. Amy was later taken to a clinic to get her wounds stitched up.

Although she is fortunate she survived the terrifying ordeal, Amy made sure to leave a warning to the public, “Please don’t go out alone at night as it is really unsafe now, regardless of gender.”

Her posting has accumulated over 14,000 shares in just seven hours.
