Videos of brazen armed robbery goes viral
The alleged robber can be clearly seen brandishing his parang in a threatening matter in the viral video.
PETALING JAYA: Two videos of a woman allegedly being mugged by an armed robber in Ara Damansara here has been going viral on social media and messaging apps.
The videos, which are one minute, 15 seconds and 35 seconds long respectively, had a date and time stamp in the right upper corner, showing that the incident occurred on Oct 5 at 3.40am.
It showed a blue Myvi at a boom gate when a white car pulls up and stops directly behind it.
A man in a black T-shirt and grey shorts suddenly exits the white car brandishing a long parang.
In the shorter clip, taken from a higher angle, the attacker can be seen running towards what is believed to be a passenger in the blue car who had stepped out of the vehicle.
The attacker can allegedly be seen trying to slash at the woman's hand to forcibly take her bag.
In the meantime, the Myvi can be seen slowly breaking through the boom gate.
