Red Arrows to go ahead with Malaysia show as scheduled
PETALING JAYA: The Red Arrows, the famed British Royal Air Force aerobatics team, will proceed with their performance in Malaysia as originally scheduled.
The British High Commission informed The Star on Wednesday that the team is still scheduled to arrive Thursday afternoon despite unfavourable weather conditions affecting the team's arrival to Malaysia.
The Red Arrows flypast at notable landmarks in Singapore had been postponed to Saturday due to unexpected weather in the South Asian region. It was originally scheduled to take place on Thursday.
The team will arrive at Subang airport on Thursday, with Malaysia being one of 20 locations in the Middle East and Asia Pacific it is touring of the GREAT Britain Festival worldwide.
The team is slated to perform a flypast over KLCC at 3.45pm on Friday.
On Oct 17, its pilots will wow the audience at Epsom College in Malaysia (ECiM) with dazzling manoeuvres, such as the "Wall" and "Tornado" in a 24-minute aerobatic display sequence that begins at 2pm.
The team will also attend a series of on-ground engagements with schools and higher education institutions to promote Britain's Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) programme.
