Shocking CCTV Footage Emerge Of A Teen Electrocuted To Death In Internet Cafe
MALAYSIAN DIGEST
Internet cafes are often associated with dangerous activities but one internet cafe patron risked his life merely detaching a phone charging cord.
A viral CCTV footage posted to LiveLeak has emerged today reportedly showing the moment a teenager was literally electrocuted to death while other cafe patrons happily carried on playing.
In the tragic incident, 18-year-old factory worker named Xiong Xuan was killed in the freak accident as he attempted to unplug his mobile phone cable from a computer at an internet cafe in Wuhan, South China Morning Post reports.
According to local Chinese media reports, Xiong's brother was in the seat beside him when the accident happened. He told reporters that Xiong said that he was going to get some food and reached down to take his cell phone with him.
"When he tried to pull the cord out, he got shocked and cried out. Then he touched it again and his foot hit the steel pipe underneath the desk," his brother explained.
Xiong's brother related the heartbreaking experience as he could only watch as his brother fell limp to the ground and started foaming at the mouth. An ambulance arrived to rush Xiong to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead on the way.
At the time of the incident which took place in April this year, there was no video evidence which has only been released this week.
Xiong's family has since publicly blamed the internet cafe for negligence while authorities have reportedly suspended the business’s licence of the cafe pending investigation.
