Ratu Naga: I’ll follow Chegubard wherever he goes
Woman implicated in alleged purchase of database to fill up Citizens' Declaration gatecrashes press conference by opposition man, demanding answers.
PETALING JAYA: An incensed Ratu Naga, today vowed she will not let up in her pursuit of PKR’s Chegubard for linking her to the purchase of a database which was used for the Citizens’ Declaration.
Promising she will “follow them everywhere they go, whenever and wherever”, Ratu Naga – whose real name is Syarul Ema Rena Abu Samah – explained this will also include gatecrashing press conferences, just as she did today.
“Even if they make a police report I will go. They can disturb other people but not me. Pregnant ladies have a bad temper,” she told reporters.
Earlier, she had challenged both Chegubard (Badrul Hisham Shaharin) and freelance programmer Azharuddin Othman to swear on their “mother’s, wife’s and children’s name” that they did not know her.
Chegubard, however, brushed her off, stating that swearing as such were Barisan Nasional’s “game”.
She was then interrupted by an unidentified man who pleaded with her to stop and allow reporters to ask Chegubard questions.
Later, when approached by reporters, Syarul Ema said she gatecrashed the press conference as her named had made the news every day despite the fact she had nothing to do with the alleged sale of the database or the Citizens’ Declaration.
“I don’t know how else to clear my name, so I thought it’s better if I confronted them.
“All of you can see for yourselves that they are afraid to answer my questions.”
Last month, Azharuddin claimed that Syarul Ema offered RM5,000 for information from the database that was to be used for the Citizens’ Declaration.
Azharuddin, who also made a statutory declaration, claimed to have gained access to the database after working as a volunteer to register voters prior to the 13th General Election.
Syarul has strongly denied soliciting the names for the initiative which seeks to remove Prime Minister Najib Razak and even swore on the Quran to prove her innocence.
