Woman cries attempted rape, ex-boss fights back
KOTA KINABALU: A woman claimed on Facebook that her former boss tried to rape her at a parking lot and the man in turn has lodged a police report against her.
The woman had lodged a police report against the man but he has made his own report alleging that she had misappropriated company property.
Penampang police have opened investigations on both of them and have sought the advice of the deputy public prosecutor on whether to press charges against both or either one of them.
Penampang police chief Deputy Supt Rosley Hobden said yesterday that the woman in her 20s had lodged a police report in Ranau in early February over the alleged attempted rape on Jan 31 in Beverly Hills here.
He said the man also lodged a police report against the woman for misusing company property including a handphone and not returning it after quitting her job.
“We have recorded both their statements. We are now waiting for the deputy public prosecutor’s instructions on the next course of action,” he said.
He said investigations into the alleged attempted rape were being carried out under Section 354 for molestation while the woman was being probed under section 403 of the Penal Code for misappropriation of property.
