PETALING JAYA: Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has stepped down as the President of the Johor Football Association (JFA)

The announcement was made by JFA honorary secretary Mohd Fahmy Yahya in the Johor Southern Tigers official facebook page but no reason were given behind Tunku Ismail’s decision.

The post also annnouced that Johor state secretary Datuk Ismail Karim has been appointed as his replacement and all matters pertaining to the club such as future plans, finance management, the organisational structure, the building of the football academy and new stadium, and the association’s policies will remain as it is.

Saya, selaku Setiausaha Kehormat Persatuan Bolasepak Negeri Johor, pada hari ini mengisytiharkan bahawa DYAM Brigadier Jeneral Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim,Tunku Mahkota Johor, telah meletak jawatan sebagai Presiden Persatuan Bolasepak Negeri Johor pada pukul 5 petang tadi.

Untuk makluman semua, YB Dato' Haji Ismail Bin Karim, Setiausaha Kerajaan Johor telah dilantik menjadi Presiden Persatuan Bolasepak Negeri Johor. Walaubagaimanapun segala perancangan, pengurusan kewangan, pentadbiran, pembentukan akademi dan stadium baru serta polisi persatuan akan diteruskan. Segala perancangan jangka masa panjang dalam sukan bola sepak Negeri Johor termasuk dari segi infrastruktur dan segala yang berkaitan akan tetap dilaksanakan. Sekian, terima kasih. As the Honorary Secretary of the Johor Football Association, I announce that HRH Brigadier General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim has resigned as President of the Johor Football Association at 5pm today.

Dato' Haji Ismail Bin Karim, State Secretary of Johor, has been appointed as his replacement. Regardless of the change, all matters pertaining to the club such as future plans, finance management, the organisational structure, the building of the football academy and new stadium, and the association's policies will remain as it is. All long-term plans for the benefits of Johor football will continue to be executed. Thank you. Hidup Johor, Demi Johor.
