SIBU: Police have arrested two men following a posting on the "Sibu Cat Lover" Facebook page that there were some individuals here who had killed cats for their meat.
Acting on information in the posting, a police team on Saturday went to a house at Jalan Merlin and arrested the two jobless men, aged 38 and 42.
Seized during the arrest were five furs of animals, which the police believe were from rabbits.
The duo told the police that they had picked up the furs from rubbish bins around town.
They claimed to have dried the furs under the sun in order to make into musical drums.
They denied that they had killed any animals.
