KUALA LUMPUR: The water agreement between the Selangor state government and Putrajaya has lapsed, Mentri Besar Azmin Ali (pic) said.
“The agreement (water deal) lapsed today, we (the Selangor state government) are not going to extend it.
“They (Federal Government) breached the agreement and did not honour it,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby on Monday.
Asked if this meant that there would be no more negotiations to revive the deal, Azmin merely said he is still waiting to get official word from Federal authorities on the new terms of the agreement.
“I want to see what are the new terms they want to discuss with state.
“The ball is in their court,” he said, in reference to the water deal’s master-plan.
