Miri cops looking for road bully who hit French woman

MIRI: Police are looking for a woman, believed to be a road bully, for allegedly spitting and causing hurt to a French woman in an incident at Jalan Krokop 10 on Sunday.

A recording of the 11am incident has since gone viral on the social media.
Miri police chief ACP Gan Tian Kee said the victim, aged 44, had lodged a police report on the incident.
He said the victim claimed that the incident broke out after she screamed to alert the suspect, who was at the wheel of a Toyota Camry and reversing the car when the vehicle nearly hit her (victim) 68-year-old mother who was standing nearby.
The victim claimed the suspect got out of the vehicle in an aggressive manner carrying an umbrella, and then hit her three times on the head and also spit at her, he added.
He said preliminary investigation by the police found that the Toyota Camry was registered under the name of a catering company based here.
Gan said the alleged road bully incident was the second case in Sarawak to have gone viral on the social media this month.
The first incident occurred in Kuching last March 16 involving three suspected road bullies, aged between 21 and 27, for allegedly assaulting a man, in his 40s, at Jalan Demak. - Bernama
