PENDANG: Born with deformed hands and feet, Nursamawati Mahmud, has never allowed her disability to limit her potential.
Despite not having fully-dextrous fingers, the resourceful 30-year-old woman from Kampung Gelong Gajah, Tobiar, here, is able to operate her computer and smartphone - using only her tongue.

Nursamawati uses the Internet to promote her mother's soy sauce and vinegar business, which she intends to expand beyond the borders of her hometown.
"I want to use the Internet to expand my mother's business. So far, her products have only been marketed around here and Pokok Sena," the eldest daughter among five siblings told reporters at her home on Saturday.
Her perseverance has prompted telecommunication company Clixster Mobile Sdn Bhd to donate a smartphone and sponsor a life-long Internet package to Nursamawati.
Clixter Mobile brand chief communications and media officer, Hazran Mohamed, said they hoped the contribution would enable Nursamawati to achieve her goal in expanding her mother's business, and to help her connect to other friends and family.
Nursamawati, who accepted the donations gratefully, said she had been using Internet since 2010 and planned to create a blog to tell her life story as a person with disabilities and her and how she manages her life with it.
She said she learnt how to use gadgets in order to access social media websites such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and WeChat.
Nursamawati said she currently had about 4,000 friends on Facebook.
Her mother Saudah Shaari, 52, said Nursamawati required more attention since she was not able to eat, bathe or dress on her own.
"I'm so proud of her. Despite her disabilities, she still wants to help expand our family business. She seems happier ever since she learned to use the Internet," added Saudah. - Bernama
