Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur announced the appointment of Andreas Senn as Executive Assistant Manager in charge of food and beverage.

Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur announced the appointment of Andreas Senn as Executive Assistant Manager in charge of food and beverage.

In his new capacity, Mr Senn will work very closely with new Executive Chef Mario Hofmann to explore new local and international food trends and opportunities to further enhance the diner’s experience. All of the food and beverage outlets in the hotel will come under Mr Senn’s management.

Mr Senn has enjoyed a career spanning luxury hotels in the UK, the Maldives, Thailand, Vietnam and New Zealand. He also brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous position as Executive Assistant Manager of food and beverage at Conrad Dubai in the UAE.

Originally from Austria, Mr Senn studied at FVF St Johann Tyrol Hotel Management School before starting work as maitre d’/restaurant manager  at various hotels there.

“I am excited about joining Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is extremely well-established and has built a loyal clientele over the past 30 years.

“I want to study new ideas that will continue to delight our loyal and new patrons, while maintaining the classic dishes to the highest standards,” Mr Senn said.
