PETALING JAYA: A Sarawakian housewife received the biggest Chinese New Year ang pow when she won the RM12 million Toto 4D Jackpot 1 in the March 4 draw.
Blessed by the God of Wealth, the 44-year-old from Kuching bought the winning numbers 2170 and 8426 during her trip back to her hometown in Miri.
"Those numbers were my car number plate which I have been betting on in every draw for almost a year. I couldn't believe my luck and could not sleep after I found out the news," she told Sports Toto Malaysia.
She called Sports Toto head office to confirm her win and bought the flight tickets in the morning to claim the prize money as soon as possible.
"I only play Sports Toto, and I feel very lucky in the Year of the Goat for striking the jackpot during the Chinese New Year festivities. I will continue to support Sports Toto," she added.
The prize money would be used for property investment, paying of debts and as savings for her children's education fund, she said.
