MIRI: Miri Police from the Crime Investigation Department (CID) arrested a 19-year-old youth at 2.15pm yesterday in a commercial centre here for allegedly raping and impregnating his underage ex-girlfriend.
It is learnt that the 15-year-old lodged a police report yesterday after the suspect refused to take responsibility by marrying her.
The girl was said to have had sex with the suspect a couple of times before she got pregnant in January this year.
They started dating since January last year.
Police are investigating the case under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.
