A WANNABE actress who responded to an advertisement for models and actresses was allegedly raped during an audition at a hotel room in Ampang, Selangor.
The advertisement had purportedly offered RM500 daily income for budding talents.
Apparently, she was asked to strip during the audition and was then raped by a 23-year-old actor who had appeared in several TV dramas, Harian Metro reported.
The culprit allegedly made a recording of it and later texted the 22-year-old victim, asking her to deposit RM1,000 into his bank account.
He threatened to upload the video online if she refused to pay.
On Wednesday night, he was arrested after police raided his house following a police report lodged by the victim earlier.
Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Khairuldin Saad confirmed the arrest.
Police are investigating whether there had been other women who had become victims but were too afraid or embarrassed to make a police report.
