11 nabbed naked and in underwear waiting for clients

MALACCA: Enforcement officers from the state Immigration Department raided a budget hotel in Jalan Tun Ali and found 11 Indonesians, some in their underwear and others totally naked, waiting for clients.
The officers ordered the women to dress decently before entering their rooms to arrest them on Sunday.
Department acting director Abu Bakar Sidik Hasan said the raid followed weeks of intelligence gathering.
“We arrested them on suspicion of prostitution,” he said here yesterday.
He said the women admitted that they had abused their work permits to indulge in vice activities that earned them about RM1,000 a day.
They were paid RM30 for each client they entertained, and most of their customers were foriegners, he said.
They all kept log books and had condoms.
Abu Bakar said one of them, a 23-year-old, was convicted previously but went back to her old trade after serving her sentence.
Three local men, aged between 30 and 60 and believed to be pimps, were also nabbed during the raid.
Abu Bakar said his team also screened 119 foreigners at two locations in the city and arrested 41 of them for overstaying.
In another operation, immigration officers detained 30 foreigners at the Malacca Sentral Bus Terminal, including a three-year-old boy, for a similar offence.
