Policeman injured after patrol car rammed by

SENAI: A policeman was injured, while the patrol car he was travelling in was reduced to a complete wreck at Km 2.6 of the Senai-Desaru Highway here today.
It is learnt that the patrol car was rammed by a lorry and dragged for several metres at the emergency lane of the highway towards Senai at about 4pm.
The incident also involved a van that was earlier stopped by the patrol car for a traffic offense.
Initial investigations revealed that the lorry, which was believed to have lost control, had rammed the rear right side of the patrol car in the incident.
The injured policeman, who is in his 30s, was sent to the Kulaijaya Hospital for treatment.
Police have classified the case under Section 43 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless driving.
