PETALING JAYA: Payback is sweet. And that’s exactly what Lee Chong Wei meted out to Chen Long as the world No.1 outplayed the defending champion to recapture the All-England title in straight sets.
The battle of attrition started well for the Malaysian who played within himself to take the first set 21-13.
He continued in the same vein in the second, despite a spirited fight-back from the world No.2, to sew up the match 21-13, 21-18 in slightly less than an hour.
It is Chong Wei’s third All-England title in six straight finals.
