KLANG: Four foreigners believed to be Indonesians, three of them women, have been arrested after a policeman was slashed to death in a scuffle with a group of foreigners at Taman Sentosa here.
Another policeman was seriously injured in the 5am incident yesterday but he managed to shoot dead two of the attackers.
Selangor police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan said the two policemen – Kpl Raja Aizam Raja Mohd and Kpl Mohd Aidil Mustafa – were patrolling the area in their car when they saw the group walking by the roadside.
“They stopped the group and started to question them. One of the men became aggressive when the policemen arrested their three female companions,” SDCP Mohd Shukri told reporters at the Gombak police headquarters.

“One of the suspects took out a knife and slashed Kpl Raja Aizam and snatched away his gun.
“The suspect tried to fire the gun but it failed to discharge. Kpl Mohd Aidil was slashed in the face and head with a sharp weapon but managed to grab the gun.
“He shot and killed two suspects using his own gun,” SDCP Mohd Shukri said.
He said that a man and three women were arrested on the spot, but added that the exact number in the group had yet to be ascertained.
He did not say whether the four were nabbed by policemen arriving at the scene in two patrol cars shortly after.

The policemen rushed their colleagues to the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah where Kpl Raja Aizam, 53, was pronounced dead.
Kpl Mohd Aidil, 29, is receiving treatment for head and face wounds at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
SDCP Mohd Shukri said a parang and Rambo knife had been recovered from the scene.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, who visited Kpl Mohd Aidil and the family of Kpl Raja Aizam at the hospital, said the attack on the two and the slaying of a policeman could not be tolerated.
Deputy Home Minister Datuk Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, who was also at the hospital, conveyed his condolences to the family of Kpl Raja Aizam, and said that no effort would be spared to bring those involved in the attack and murder to justice.
In KAJANG, Home Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said there would be no compromise on the issue of safety and security although the lives of policemen and other enforcement officers are at risk.
“Policemen put their lives on the line when enforcing the law and maintaining security. The latest incident in Klang shows this,” he told reporters after launching the National Anti-Drugs Day celebrations.
