PETALING JAYA - The car in which actor Roy Azman was riding with his wife and youngest child caught fire while their vehicle was believed to be passing through a highway, according to a Kosmo report.
The incident was reported by Roy through his Instagram post on Monday (Dec 4) along with some photos and videos of his burning car.
However, the actor did not reveal the time and location of the incident, other than telling the family that they were safe, reported Kosmo. "Greetings everyone, Alhamdulillah my wife and youngest son managed to run out of the car, thank goodness. Also seen, firemen at the scene to extinguish the fire, reported Kosmo.
According to another video recording uploaded to his Instagram account, Roy said that he had just picked up the car after it was repaired in Ampang on Sunday (Dec 3).
He was informed about the fire that broke out at the bottom of the car when another driver honked behind him.
"There was a car honking to tell us that the car was on fire but we didn't even see the fire underneath because we were driving, the car was moving and the fire was near the bottom and behind so we didn't see it until a car sounded the horn. That's when we saw there was fire and want to stop on the side, the brake doesn't seem to work, but luckily the handbrake can still be used," he added.
