The Health Ministry announced 1,301 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 60,695.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, the ministry’s disease control and prevention director general, Achmad Yurianto, added that 49 more people had died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 3,036.
The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 27,568.
The capital city recorded 140 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 11,961. Meanwhile, East Java reported 353 new cases, South Sulawesi 180, Central Java 134, South Kalimantan 110 and Bali 66.
The virus has spread to all of the country's 34 provinces. (dfr/mfp)
