The Health Ministry announced 1,209 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 64,958.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, the ministry’s disease control and prevention director general, Achmad Yurianto, added that 70 more people had died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 3,241.
The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 29,919.
The capital city recorded 232 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 12,667. Meanwhile, East Java reported 308 new cases, Central Java 127, West Java 126, South Sulawesi 84 and South Sumatra 71.
The virus has spread to all of the country's 34 provinces. (dfr/mfp)
