KUALA LUMPUR: Harimau Malaya will fly to Hanoi with lots of confidence after thrashing Sri Lanka 6-0 in an international friendly at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Saturday (Oct 5).
Johor Darul Ta’zim’s (JDT) Syafiq Ahmad scored a hat-trick in the ninth, 76th and 89th minute.
Malaysia’s other goals were scored by Shahrul Saad (14th), Norshahrul Idlan Talaha (17th) and Akhyar Rashid (51st).
The national team led by Tan Cheng Hoe will fly to Vietnam on Monday (Oct 7) to face their national team in the 2022 World Cup - 2023 Asian Cup Group G qualifying match on Oct 10 at the MyDinh Stadium.
