Several marathon runners injured after car ploughs through safety barriers

PETALING JAYA: Three marathon runners were injured, including one critically, after a car ploughed through safety barriers at the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon 2019 on Sunday (Sept 29).
According to news portal FMT, an Ampang Jaya traffic police spokesman said that three runners were injured, one of whom had suffered critical injuries.
The spokesman said eye-witnesses had reported that the accident happened on the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road (MRR2) heading towards Gombak.
According to a Facebook user, Onizuka Rizuan, one of the victims was his colleague and would be undergoing surgery.
Rizuan also posted several pictures of a vehicle number plate, allegedly of the "hit-and-run" driver.
He added that he would lodge a police report on the incident
