Pick-up truck driver in fatal hit-and-run charged with murder

PETALING JAYA: The driver of the pick-up truck that ploughed into customers of a restaurant in Taman Equine, Seri Kembangan, has been charged with murder at the magistrate's court here on Friday (Nov 23).
Wilsonresa Anak Dudom, 20, has been charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code with murdering Wong Sow Lin, 58, at 8.20pm on Nov 18.
He faces the mandatory death penalty if convicted.
No bail was granted as the offence under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder is a non-bailable offence.
Wilsonresa, who was not represented, said he understood the charge.
Magistrate Mohd Nor Hafidzuddin Yusof fixed case mention on Jan 8.
DPP Alia Sumayyah Amran prosecuted.
On Sunday (Nov 18), a driver of a pick-up truck ploughed into a table at the open air area of the hawker centre, leaving one woman dead and three others injured.
After the collision, the driver drove off and hit three other vehicles there.
The suspect was arrested on Monday (Nov 19).
