ARAU: Investigations into former First Lady Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor have been handed over to the Attorney-General, Malaysia Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull said.
"This agency is only responsible for conducting investigations, it is up to the Attorney-General to prosecute Rosmah or not," Bernama reported him saying.
It was previously reported that Rosmah is expected to face more than 20 criminal charges, mostly involving money laundering.
She was called to testify at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya in June.
"I can not answer the question whether she will be charged because it is beyond our jurisdiction," he said.
Last Thursday (Sept 20), MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner of Operations Datuk Seri Azam Baki said the agency did not rule out the possibility of Rosmah being charged in the near future.
