PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s questioning of Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has entered 11 hours.

As of 9pm, there has been no indication yet that Rosmah, who is the wife of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, would be leaving the commission’s headquarters here anytime soon.

Rosmah arrived at the MACC headquarters at 9.50am today.

A large media contingent, who had been camped at the complex since 7am, are still at the main lobby awaiting the latest developments.

However, sources said Rosmah, 67, might eventually leave the complex just before 10pm.

MACC senior officer, speaking on condition of anonymity, said they are provisioned to continue recording statements even after office hours.

It is understood that Rosmah was summoned by the MACC to assist an investigation into the alleged misappropriation of RM2.6 billion banked into her husband’s account.

Yesterday, MACC officers had visited Rosmah and Najib’s family home in Taman Duta, Jalan Langgak Duta to serve her a notice to appear at the commission to provide her statement.

This marks the second time that she had been called for provide a statement to the MACC. The first was on June 5, where she was questioned for five hours over a probe into 1MDB subsidiary company SRC International Sdn Bhd.
