Video Of 3-Year-Old Holding A Meth Pipe Goes Viral, Police Launch Investigations

ALOR STAR: The police authorities have launched an investigation into a viral video that has been circulating since yesterday, depicting a three-year-old believing to have inhaled ‘syabu’ through a meth pipe.
NST reported that the child’s 53-year-old grandmother lodged a police report yesterday evening – after she watched the heinous video.
According to social media posting, the shocking video was first shown to the toddler's grandmother by another grandson and she was shocked to learn that her grandchild was being fed drugs by her daughter's boyfriend.
Police are currently on the hunt for the woman (the child’s mother) along with her boyfriend, who may have been the culprit behind the child being ‘high.’
The incident caught the attention of netizens after the video went viral on social media. The person who had shared it on Facebook had urged viewers to spread the news so that the authorities will take notice and the poor child could get help.

The State Criminal Investigation Department Chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Mior Faridalathrash Wahid shared with Harian Metro that the viral video showed that the suspect gave the child drugs while the child was clothless and appeared to be high and listless.
Police are now investigating the case under Section 31 (1) of the Child Act 2001, following a report made by the grandmother yesterday.
“The child lives with his biological mother and her boyfriend. The complainant became concerned about the safety of her grandson after seeing the video on Facebook.
“The complainant's child divorced the wife (the child’s mother) in 2016 after she was arrested along with the suspect,” Mior said.
In addition, the police have cinducted a thorough investigation to verify the video concerned and have identify the suspects.
In the meantime, Mior also said that the complainant was not sure whether the child was drugged by the suspect but she was worried about the safety of her grandson and wanted to take custody of the child.
“We have launched an operation to arrest the suspects and to rescue the child,” said Mior.
