New French Chef whips up Delicious Fine Dining Cuisine at Supperclub Gastrobar & Lounge

We were invited recently by Mr. Sebastien Haegel  who is a veteran Nightclub and Restaurant owner for a food tasting session, his name is synonym with his outlets, such as Flam's, Elixir, Mango and now Supperclub.

As a Frenchman, Sebastien is known to be very passionate and committed to a concept he embarks on, even if he has to change market trend's and go against the flow,

Supperclub is basically an upscale gastrobar and lounge that transforms itself into a swanky nightclub later in the night. Located at the all-new TREC’s Electric Boulevard on Jalan Tun Razak

The Supperclub must be one of the most beautiful outlet on the whole stretch of TREC.  It features a very lavish decor, terrace and outdoor lounge, an Island Bar and a  huge dance floor.

Sebastian wanted us to try Supperclub's Degustation Menu and the some speciality dishes of his new French Chef Romain Fabre . So we headed there on Thursday night in the buka puasa month traffic jam as I pondered when  would Malaysia will be getting a Michelin Star restaurant of it's own

Since having a buffet's is almost a must for most restaurant's during the month of  Ramadan, they had an appetiser and dessert buffet.

While we waited for the chef to prepare our dishes, we raided the buffet counter and surprisingly  the dishes were very good.

The Roast Beef and Smoked Salmon almost melted in your mouths. The Chicken skewers in honey mustard  was one of our favourites too. The Tiger prawns and oysters were fresh and delicious too

As we finished sampling the buffet our first course came - Cauliflower Soup Dubarry.. Presentation was excellent is French Ceramic Plates

Cauliflower soup Dubarry

Who thought Cauliflower could taste so good.. With a poached egg and beef bacon inside it was really tasty

Hokkaido Scallops in Chestnut, Lobster Bisque

The next dish was even more tasty Hokkaido Scallops in Chestnut, Lobster Bisque. How could it not taste fabulous with Lobster in it. The Myriad of flavors was amazing

Next was a pan seared Foie Gras and Apple 3 Ways . The foie gras was pan fried to perfection, the wobblyfoie gras simply melted in our mouths as the apple gave it nice punch to it.

Turbo Fish In "Grenobloise" potatoes

Nezt  was the Turbo Fish In "Grenobloise" potatoes. I doubt if the Malaysian palates would like this dish as the capers made it to salty and the Lime in it was too overpowering, making it difficult to taste the fish.

US Black Angus Tournedos "Rossini" foie gras and truffle sauce
The next dish we sampled was the US Black Angus Tournedos "Rossini" foie gras and truffle sauce Make sure you tell your waiter how you like your meats and you will have a fabulous time digging into this meal. The Foie Gras and Beef complimented each other well.

oven baked milk fed Australian Rack Of Lamb serve with ratatouille and black pepper sauce

The Chef has us sample some of the popular dishes and the  next dish that came was my personal favourite,  oven baked milk fed Australian Rack Of Lamb serve with ratatouille and black pepper sauce. It was really delicious

"Beef Bourguignon

We then sampled the most popular bar bite on the menu "Beef Bourguignon" french style beef stew served on creamy mashed potatoes. At RM36.00 this was real value for money. I would not mind coming here every week for just this dish rather than getting stuck on the Jalan Tun Razak traffic jam.

Tiramisu and Creme brulee

The Chef then prepared two popular desserts for us . Tiramisu and Creme Brulee. Both dishes were prepared to perfection. The burnt sugar top giving a nice crackling sound as you broke into it.

Souffle was  amazing
Although it was not any of our's birthday, we were presented with a souffle  and ice cream with sparklers and all.  The Souffle was light and delicious.  The  Laici ice cream was deicious,

Our sinful gastronomical journey ended with 4 flavors of  Homemade Ice Cream. Who could resist the delicious ice cream.
