Daim, Toblerone chocolates no halal certificates, says Jakim

PUTRAJAYA: The Islamic Development Department (Jakim) has confirmed that Daim and Toblerone chocolates have no halal certification.
Jakim’s Halal Hub Division said both chocolates have not obtained Malaysia’s Halal Certification or any foreign halal certification recognised by Jakim.
“Therefore, (Muslim) consumers are advised to buy products that only bear Malaysia’s or foreign halal logos recognised by Jakim.
“For more information on products that have obtained Malaysia’s Halal Certification or foreign halal certification rocognised by Jakim, visit www.halal.gov.my,” it said on its Facebook page, today.
